Wilson isn't running for re-election. Udall and Pearce would like to get elected. And, you can carry that "math" state to state. The people running for re-election voted against this mess, and those who are not voted for it.

Hemingway do you know anything or do you just spout dogma..... Get a clue, do some reading, both parties are heavily responsible for this mess. Clinton's big push for affirmative action in the house sector is the major reason that subprime lending became the monster it is.

ARIZONA VOTED AGAINST MCCAIN

I love the fact that John McCain blames the vote going against the bailout on Obama. But there is an interesting fact out there. ALL the representatives from Arizona voted against the bailout? It just shows how much the other reps from AZ respect McCain. If he can't get the republicans from his home state to vote with him how is he going to get the rest of the nation to work with him. Maybe they are angry because while McCain brags that in 26 years he has never done anything for his home state, they are all stuck working for the people of Arizona in DC.

With nonsense like that, how can anyone expect this bunch (Democrats AND Republicans) to be straightforward enough to get beyond "It all depends on what the defininition of "is" is?

Thomas James says Clinton failed policies. The sub prime mortgages were instituted by the Republican Congress. Phil " No regulation Derivatives" Gramm and Newt Gingrich and the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act of 1994 (the latter's goal was written to protect consumers against predatory loans, but it instead helped spark the subprime boom). Deregulation is Republicanism.

Voters, the first step is to get rid of members of Congress that voted for the Bailout. Work out, Buy in, or Bailout it is still a pig with lipstick. Congratulations to Pearce and Udall for protecting the taxpayer and not the corporation.

This Bailout follows a pattern where the shareholders are wiped out while the debt holders (filthy rich) are protected. Now Investors have caught on and are betting on future bailouts by selling stock and buying bonds in the struggling firms. Which exacerbate these Institutions troubles. But again this only screws the taxpayer while the rich, including Congress, get richer.

How ironic the Republicans repudiate their own Republican President Bush and then blame Democrats. It is the Republican leadership's fault. To blame Pelosi is crazy! If I was George Bush I would be ashamed of my fellow republicans and their partisanship. What is best for America does not count. There are no profiles for courage in the Republican Party - sad!
