Kip Allen has been the soul of the station recently. I loved to listen to his pronunciation of names and titles--some can be quite tricky for beginners like me. And I liked that the whole piece of music got played, not just the catchy movements or the bit that fit the time allotment--or if so, the interruption came with an apology. DAMN! I hope the station rethinks its "lite" idea!
S. FYI on Marty Ronish:
She did more than "train" at KHFM. For a long time she hosted a super-intelligent interview show at 12 Noon. And she contributed stories on the classical music world to the Albuquerque Tribune and Prime Time, the senior monthly.
A.Alpert
