    Thanks for the fascinating, sad story. FYI on Marty Ronish:
    She did more than "train" at KHFM. For a long time she hosted a super-intelligent interview show at 12 Noon. And she contributed stories on the classical music world to the Albuquerque Tribune and Prime Time, the senior monthly.

    The beauty of KHFM was that it was serious classical music, not just the "warhorse" music or easy listening Classical. Kip Allen has been the soul of the station recently. I loved to listen to his pronunciation of names and titles--some can be quite tricky for beginners like me. And I liked that the whole piece of music got played, not just the catchy movements or the bit that fit the time allotment--or if so, the interruption came with an apology. DAMN! I hope the station rethinks its "lite" idea!
