Ms. Stirman makes me cringe as an American and as a New Mexican.
The sad thing is that she reflects a segment of our country that really believes that it's all right to condemn an entire religious group, that has a knee-jerk black/white reaction to everything rather than even attempting to see the truth that's right in front of them.
Yes, she has a right as an American to spit this vile stuff. And she has this right, in part, because American Muslim soldiers (along with atheists, Christians, Wicca, Jews etc.) have defended her country.
