The New Mexico Independent: Secure, new licenses coming to NM

oyegithamu · 1 year agoI find it odd that the federal & state government recognize the need for a more secure, tamper-proof identification & now have a plan to issue such drivers license and I'D cards but no plan to ensure that the requisite source documents are not secure nor is there a plan to make those source documents secure.

fjpoblam · 1 year agoDitto oyegithamu, and one wonders, why it is that the delivery mechanism of choice would be so relatively insecure: the "mail".

chupacabra · 1 year agoNew cards will be hacked within a month, and ALL the "secret" information hidden in the card will be made public within 6 months. New anti-counterfitting features rendered "useless", millions of taxpayer dollars down the tube. Yay bureaucracy!
