Fraudulent registrations still have to pass the serious filter of verification at the county clerk - or equivalent - level.

That's why so few cases have ever been uncovered. Why bother messing around with the front end of the voting process when there's a lot more bang for your buck with the tried-and-true GOP method of compromising electronic voting machines. So much less of a paper trail, too.

Re: RNC backing off of N.M. voter fraud complaints?

In that case, it would still be voter registration fraud. We have not seen any real reported cases of actual voter fraud in New Mexico, only voter registration fraud.

Re: RNC backing off of N.M. voter fraud complaints?

I suppose it's too much to expect the New Mexico GOP blowhards who have been pushing this ridiculous voter fraud story to shut up about it now. But then they'd have to address real issues in this election, and that wouldn't help them much on election day.

The only documented voter fraud case I've seen recently involved a California GOP operative who duped many people into registering as Republicans.
