According to Princeton University's WordNet, Liberal means "a person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties." So being liberal is bad?

Yeah and Congressman Pearce is a "breathtaking" Bush political hack - screwing the average New Mexican and worshiping the oil companies. He doesn't care about the average economically strapped New Mexican family. Go back to Hobbs - Mr. Pearce and count your oil money!

Just as Wall Street has turned its back on America, so has the government. The Bush administration and his minion Stevan Pearce have kept American incomes low by opposing hikes in the minimum wage; shunning policies to modernize infrastructure, making college more affordable, and boosting spending on basic scientific research. This is an exteme right wing idealogue - who has no concept how the average American is struggling. However he is for welfare for the corporations. Mr. Pearce is illiberal through and through.

Well, thank goodness Udall is so "breathtakingly liberal."

When it comes to governance and an agenda to benefit an entire state and country, I'd rather have the person who's most concerned for the greater good than for the good of just a few.
