One sided slanted and hardly responsible reporting. If you want a good site, go to Heath's site, he stomps all over Joe's so called reporting.

Re: NMI… then and now

In a roundup of journalists in New Mexico, none is better than V.B. Price. Thanks to the Independent for maintaining the voice of a great journalist.

Re: NMI… then and now

Journalism's scope is changing and it is wonderful to see Price change with the times. His writing provides context for present events and helps us sort the chaff from the wheat. His persective on the Acuffs is important to those of us who value an iconoclast's view of politics and events that impact our lives. More importantly, Price brings value to our understanding of current happenings through his unique position at the intersection of poetry and hard news commentary. Thank you Price and thank you NM Independent!

Re: NMI… then and now

i am puzzled why v.b. price totally ignores the independent in edgewood in his survey of metro area newspapers. wally gordon, editor and publisher, the independent. email independent@lobo.net

Re: NMI… then and now

Great to have your perspective, voice and observations back for regular consumption--Saturday's have not been the same since February!

If I could add a comment, it is that Cathy Robbins (now writing in San Diego) worked for the weekly Albuquerque News in late 1970/early 1980 and her stories on the Albuquerque city budget were the best out there, surpassing the local dailies. She was also Green before her time, climbing up to the 7th floor of City Hall on her morning runs to pick up news releases from the city's PIO.
