If I have a broken gizmo that needs to be replaced, I can get tons of info and the opinions of others before deciding whether spend money on a replacement.
But with Judges, Lawyers, Doctors, Hospitals? I think this is a key area where the media lets us down. Isn't a decision to spent a hard earned dollar just as important as spending your vote? We were asked if we wanted to retain all sorts of judges during the last election cycle. I have no idea who they were or how they performed. Its only until they get caught in a criminal act that the public finds out and even then the wagons of other lawyers circle around to defend them.

It would be wonderful to have more details. Since we don't often have an opportunity to study the judges in action, additional paragraphs -- maybe even a page or two -- would be extremely helpful.
