  • Our state legislators need a salary. We are the only state in the whole country that does not give a salary to its state legislators. New Mexico is in the dark ages! Here is the salary for legislators from nearby states: Arizona - $24,000; Texas - $7,200; Colorado - $30,000; Oklahoma - $$38,400; Nevada - $137.90 per day. This is a disgrace. If we have a session we should approve some salary so we can get competent legislators that do not cater to lobbyists for under the table money. Let's reform now!
  • If the special session is so important to Governor Richardson why is traveling to Illinois and California. He should be in his Fourth Floor office. This is crazy. I guess the VP job is more important. If I was a state legislator I would be real upset and say NO to a special session!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
