I think the only people who care about this are Darren White and his inner circle, and Jim Scarantino, who has been making very negative allegations about Martin Heinrich -- and many others who work for environmental or wildlife causes -- for a very long time. I don't know why he's so keen to grind his axe, but that's how it's perceived out here in the real world.
We are facing incredibly serious environmental, economic, health care and other problems. Martin clearly cares deeply about these issues and puts ordinary people first. He is sincere, hard-working and smart. He can envision a positive future, based on creativity, fresh thinking, respect for the earth and all its creatures and communities coming together. Darren White is all about law and order, fear, devisiveness and the Bush agenda. These are the important facts about this race.
Voters are all about separating the wheat from the chaff right now. This silly and politically motivated nonissue is definitely chaff. With so much greed, cold-heartedness and power-mongering in the world, and so much to heal, isn't it time to devote our attention to things that really matter and ignore the petty insinuations that are purely political in nature? I think so.

Jim Scarantino is the last person anyone should trust. He is another self-serving wingnut who has sold out the conservation caus in which he once believed.
