Although about 48,000 people had voted early on 212 Sequoia-supplied touch-screen computers at six sites in the county, the initial figures indicated that no race, not even for governor, showed a total of more than about 36,000 votes.

Sequoia claimed its machines had not been properly programmed for the quantity of votes cast but that it re-ran the totals and no votes were lost. The Board finally certified but note before Commissioner Tom Rutherford accused Sequoia of a “cover-up,” and said it had never intended to tell NM officials about the problem. But serious questions still remain as to the accuracy of that 11/02 vote. So what's your point Heath? The voter deserve more!
