The New Mexico Independent: Getting prepped for tonight’s debate

I think the bigger problem is recognizing that American "consumerism" is dead - or at least in a coma. We save next to nothing, in fact we've spent far more than we earned as a country. Some economists have warned about this for years, but no politician listened because asking us to do anything hard - like save a few bucks a week, and then only buy what we need - and when we have the cash for it - isn't a way to become elected to anything.

I'm still looking for clues from either Obama or McCain which show they understand the problem and have an approach to fix it. All I hear is "Hope", "Change" and "Country First". All meaningless slogans.

No both of the candidates are part of corrupt political parties that care nothing for the American people.

Just say no to McBama, there is really no difference between the two.
