With Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin spending more time in front of the cameras as Sen. John McCain’s running mate, it’s starting to become clear why the McCain campaign has wanted to keep her under wraps. She’s just not presidential material.

Quite frankly, had Couric asked any DUMBER questions, I suspect she might have been summarily carted off to "failed news reader wonderland," on the spot - never to be heard from again. I think the audacity of the media trying to second-guess McCain's decision of tagging Palin as his running mate is remarkably revealing of how low our media has truly sunk - and how much we, the public, has allowed this to happen.
This was after all, McCain's decision to make, and he's the one who will live to regret or rejoice this decision.
Thursday night's debate will be very telling - if Palin does well - McCain wins this election. If she stumbles, mumbles, and bumbles - he loses. End of story. So she gets to be either the hero of the GOP, or the gal who brought upon the dawn of true Socialism in America through an Obama administration.
No pressure, Palin ...

It's not the campaign--it's most certainly the candidate.

And somehow that article manages to quote the trooper's denials of the threat without ever mentioning that he had, in fact, been disciplined for making them? And somehow that very lengthy article manages to avoid mentioning a key piece of information:
The Democratic state senator in charge of this so-called "investigation," Hollis French, is a key figure of the Obama campaign in Alaska, who had already "convicted" Palin before the investigation had barely gotten started.
And while evil motives and deception are clearly implied as the reason for Palin's not turning over emails to French, no sinister motive is ascribed to the fired Police Commissioner for refusing to turn over his emails from the Governor's office. The guy knows exactly why he was fired - he was going behind her back to contradict her instructions on budget matters. She was his boss and he was being insubordinate.
Let's face it, the "investigative report" that is supposed to reveal Palin's record is just one more in the long list of Obama campaign spin articles being produced by the AP this year. A once respected news source has abandoned all effort at objectivity, and the result is simply propaganda.
